Glycolic Acid
is a natural constituent of sugar cane. It is
the smallest molecule of the AHA family. Studies
have shown that the NeoStrata glycolic acid

Citric Acid
is an anti-oxidant alpha and beta hydroxy acid

Mandelic Acid
is an oil-controlling alpha hydroxyacid that has
anti-bacterial benefits that may be helpful for
acne prone skin. Studies have shown mandelic
acid to provide anti-aging benefits similar to
other AHA’s. NeoStrata formulations containing
mandelic acid have been shown to reduce facial
oil.
Gluconolactone,
a next generation AHA, is a non-irritating,
antioxidant Polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that is
suitable for all skin types, including sensitive
skin. This PHA is a naturally occurring agent
found in the skin that is composed of
water-attracting hydroxyl groups to condition
and hydrate the skin. Gluconolactone
formulations reduce the appearance of fine lines
and wrinkles, and smooth skin texture.
Glucoheptonolactone is an anti-oxidant
polyhydroxy acid that is slightly larger than
gluconolactone, and contains additional
water-attracting hydroxyl groups. Due to its PHA
structure, glucoheptonolactone is used for
moisturization, anti-aging and skin
conditioning.
Lactobionic acid
is the latest skin care technology to emerge
from the NeoStrata Company. This new polyhydroxy
'bionic' acid is a non-irritating, complex
Polyhydroxy acid (PHA). Lactobionic acid is a
potent antioxidant with humectant properties
that strongly attract and bind water. Its unique
film forming property provides softness and a
velvety smoothness to the skin. Lactobionic acid
formulations reduce the appearance of fine lines
and wrinkles, and plump the skin layers.
Tocopheryl acetate
is vitamin E acetate. Vitamin E is a well-known antioxidant.
Panthenol
is pro-vitamin B5. It is a moisturizer and skin conditioner.
Sodium hyaluronate
(hyaluronic acid) is a natural glycosaminoglycan (GAG) found in skin. GAGs bind up to 1000 times their weight in water. When applied topically, they attract water and moisturize.
Hypoallergenic
means the product is non-irritating. This claim is made on the basis of our clinical data supporting non-irritating claims with PHAs and patch testing of the product, which was conducted under the direction of a dermatologist. Ophthalmologist testing was also conducted for this product showing the product was safe for use in the eye area and also safe for use in conjunction with contact lenses.
